Lower end: vacant home, standard 8' ceilings, light/similar colours, normal condition. Upper end: occupied home, 9'+ ceilings, stronger colour changes, additional cutting/preparation.
Doors with frames, both sides — $150–225 each, any package. Doors sit outside all four packages and are counted per door, because a house with fifteen of them is a different job from a house with five.
2-year workmanship warranty on every package — the same two years whether you book walls only or the whole interior. Materials are specified by grade rather than by brand; the exact product and the colour codes go on the written specification before anyone opens a can.
Projects from $750 minimum. Your exact minimum depends on the project location within the region. There is no travel line on the invoice and there never will be: the rates above are the same everywhere we work, and the minimum is the one thing distance changes.
Halton holds two quite different kinds of interior. South of the QEW there is older Oakville and Burlington stock with real millwork and plaster; north and west there is Milton and Halton Hills, newer, taller and drywall throughout. The same four packages cover both, which is the point of publishing rates instead of quoting by postcode.
Colour samples are settled before work starts on site, so the first coat is the colour you chose rather than the colour you approved in a hurry.
Halton is where the GTA's most colour-conscious repaints happen, and IntraBuild paints in all four of its municipalities — Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills. Executive homes get a colour change that carries through the whole house, new builds get their first real colours, and small-town century houses get the careful prep they deserve. Geography shapes the work here. Along the lake, Old Oakville and Aldershot hold heritage and mid-century homes with plaster and original trim. Up the middle, Glen Abbey, River Oaks and Alton Village supply steady repaint work, while Milton's Hawthorne Village and Willmott — built at speed after the late 1990s — are now reaching their first full repaint. Past the escarpment, Georgetown and Acton feel like small towns because they are.
Heritage interiors in Old Oakville, downtown Georgetown or Acton call for plaster repair and careful enamel over old trim; Milton and north Burlington builds are modern drywall that rewards clean, efficient work. Every quote is built around the actual house — never a standard package.

Halton is four municipalities that happen to share a border, and a painter drives across three different kinds of Ontario in a morning. Burlington's Aldershot and the streets behind the downtown waterfront are post-war and mid-century — bungalows and storey-and-a-halfs with small rooms, original hardwood trim and, in the older ones, plaster ceilings that have been patched around light fixtures more than once. Milton is the opposite: Hawthorne Village, Clarke, Willmott and the subdivisions that followed went up fast and all at once, so whole streets are reaching their first proper repaint together — builder flat on every wall, nine-foot ceilings, and an owner who has finally chosen a colour after years of living with the developer's white. Halton Hills is the third Ontario: Georgetown's and Acton's main streets with century storefronts and Victorian houses behind them, the Victory homes from the 1940s, and the farms and estate lots on the sideroads out to Limehouse and Norval.
The distances are the practical difference. From the Mississauga base, Oakville and Milton are a short run down the QEW or the 401; Burlington and Halton Hills are longer, and the sideroad addresses longer still, so days in the north of the region start early and are planned as full days rather than half-days. That planning shows up in the sequence — materials for the whole job arrive with the first trip, colour samples are settled before work starts on site, and a Georgetown Victorian is scheduled as a block of consecutive days.
The work itself follows the house. A Milton semi is a clean, efficient job with careful cut lines where the great room meets the kitchen. A Burlington bungalow wants its trim preserved and its plaster ceiling sealed before paint. An Acton century home is prep first and colour last. None of it changes the per-square-foot rate — the same three tiers apply from the lake to the escarpment — but it changes the number of days, and the written quote says how many.
Mississauga borders Halton directly, so Oakville and Milton runs usually stay under a 30-minute drive, while Burlington and the Halton Hills towns land around 30 to 45 minutes. Early starts are the norm, not a favour.
No mileage line ever appears on an invoice. A lakefront Burlington address and a Limehouse sideroad get quoted the same way — one written figure, nothing added after.
You won't need a hotel. We seal and paint one zone at a time, keep floors and furnishings wrapped, and hand each room back before opening the next.
The room sequence and completion date are agreed before the first drop sheet goes down, and we tidy the site at the end of every working day.
Every Halton project moves through the same sequence. First, a walkthrough — we measure the rooms, talk palettes and leave a written price. Then protection and prep: furniture covered, holes filled, sanding and caulking done properly. A tinted primer goes on where a deep colour is coming off the walls or going onto them, so the finish covers evenly; after that two finish coats are cut in by hand, area by area.
