Lower end: vacant home, standard 8' ceilings, light/similar colours, normal condition. Upper end: occupied home, 9'+ ceilings, stronger colour changes, additional cutting/preparation.
Doors with frames, both sides — $150–225 each, any package. Doors sit outside all four packages and are counted per door, because a house with fifteen of them is a different job from a house with five.
2-year workmanship warranty on every package — the same two years whether you book walls only or the whole interior. Materials are specified by grade rather than by brand; the exact product and the colour codes go on the written specification before anyone opens a can.
Projects from $750 minimum. Your exact minimum depends on the project location within the region. There is no travel line on the invoice and there never will be: the rates above are the same everywhere we work, and the minimum is the one thing distance changes.
Haldimand is small-town and rural: Caledonia, Hagersville, Dunnville, and a lot of road between them. Houses tend to be older frame stock, often with a woodstove-era ceiling that has seen smoke, and additions that were framed by whoever was available at the time. Preparation is the variable here, and it is the reason the range has a top as well as a bottom.

Haldimand County interior painting from IntraBuild covers the whole municipality — river towns, farm concessions and the Lake Erie shore. The Grand River ties the county together, flowing under the long bridge at Caledonia, past the old county buildings at Cayuga and out to the lake below Dunnville, and most of the local housing grew up along it. Much of that housing is older than the GTA average. Century brick farmhouses stand on the concession roads, solid but carrying plaster that has moved through a hundred winters. Village streets in Cayuga, Hagersville and Jarvis hold wartime and post-war family homes on their third or fourth repaint. And Caledonia keeps adding subdivisions where builder-beige walls are waiting for real colour. Each type asks for different prep, and each gets it.
A century farmhouse outside Cayuga and a five-year-old build in a Caledonia subdivision don't get identical treatment — one needs plaster patched and old trim degreased before colour, the other mostly needs sharp lines and honest coverage. The quote reflects the house in front of us, never a one-size routine.

Water decides most things in Haldimand, including the paint. The Grand River towns — Caledonia, Cayuga, Dunnville — keep their century main streets and the housing that grew around them: brick storefronts with apartments above, frame houses on the river flats, verandah homes a block up the hill. In the older stock the interior story is familiar Ontario — plaster that wants patient prep, stairs and trim carrying generations of enamel — but the river adds its own item: lower levels and additions that have known damp seasons, where the first questions are about ventilation and past moisture before anyone opens a can. A stain on a river-town ceiling gets investigated, dried and sealed, never just repainted.
South of the towns the county turns agricultural, and the concession-road bungalows and farmhouses paint the way rural Ontario paints: whole-house jobs planned as consecutive full days, materials arriving complete on the first trip, the family living around the work. Then the county runs out of land at Lake Erie, and the shoreline strip — Dunnville to Featherstone Point and along to Peacock Point — brings the cottage rhythm. Erie cottages are shoulder-season projects: painted in the weeks after spring opening or before fall close-up, while the building is heated enough for coats to cure but the summer crowd has not arrived. Cottages that sit closed through winter also collect the damp-building checklist — mildew shadowing in washrooms and closed rooms, which needs washing and a mildew-resistant finish in the wet rooms rather than a cosmetic coat over the spots.
Across all three Haldimands — river town, farm, shore — the working promise is identical: a posted, transparent price structure and a written quote that itemizes every room and surface, so a Dunnville owner and a rural one compare the same document, and nobody discovers a surprise at the end of a concession road.
