Mississauga is home — IntraBuild's drywall crew is based in this city, and that changes how a job runs: the measure books fast, no travel fee exists to bury, and the person pricing your walls is the person finishing them. Much of our week is reno re-boarding in houses that Erin Mills, Meadowvale and Clarkson put up between the '70s and the '90s, plus basement builds and condo units around Square One. Typed "drywall installation near me" from a Mississauga postal code? That's us. Our full approach lives on the drywall installation services page — what follows is the local part: dated-home renos, basements and City Centre towers.

01
— what a Mississauga install includes

Sheets, seams, bead and mud.

the whole job, start to sanded

The hang

Walls and ceilings boarded plumb and tight, joints staggered so they never stack, openings cut neatly around boxes, ducts and windows.

Seams & corners

Every joint gets paper or mesh tape; every outside corner gets metal or paper-faced bead — the difference between corners that chip and corners that last.

Screws, set and spotted

About 28–32 per sheet, staggered and sunk just below the surface, then coated so the fastener pattern never shadows through your paint.

Mud to your level

Three coats minimum, feathered wide and sanded with vacuum extraction — finished to Level 3, 4 or 5 depending on the room.

Standard 1/2" — bedrooms & main floors Moisture-resistant — bathrooms & laundry rooms Fire-rated 5/8" Type X — garages & furnace rooms Sound-dampening — media rooms & shared walls Sag-resistant ceiling board

Our city, our schedule.

we live where you renovate

Based here, not dispatched here

The vans are parked in Mississauga every night. Measures book within days, no travel fee applies, and the crew that quotes your job is the crew on the ladders — one team from walkthrough to final sand.

'70s–'90s houses, brought current

Erin Mills side-splits, Meadowvale two-storeys, Clarkson bungalows: we re-board ceilings after popcorn removal, close up relocated walls, box bulkheads cleanly and turn panelled family rooms into smooth, paint-ready drywall.

Basements, week in and week out

Moisture-aware board below grade, tidy cuts around ducts, beams and bulkheads, a finish ready for paint — from Lisgar and Churchill Meadows subdivisions to Cooksville's older streets.

Square One towers

For City Centre condos we book the service elevator and send the certificate of insurance to the property manager — genuine building coordination, a notch lighter than a downtown-Toronto tower.

03
— drywall installation cost in Mississauga

Area in, price out.

square footage does the math

Because we quote our own city daily, the drywall installation cost Mississauga homeowners get from us is simple arithmetic: measured area times a per-square-foot rate, board supplied and finished, roughly $2.00–$5.50 per square foot turnkey. A wide-open Churchill Meadows basement moves through the middle of that range efficiently; a chopped-up '80s Erin Mills main floor — bulkheads, hallways, a smoother finish — pushes higher. Pick your level below; the detailed breakdown follows, and the reasoning behind the numbers sits on our drywall installation services page.

What pushes cost up or down
  • Finish level — the big one: Level 5 labour ≈ double Level 4.
  • Access & height — stairs, tall ceilings and awkward carries cost hours.
  • Board choice — moisture, fire or sound-rated sheets price above 1/2".
  • Job size — per-foot rates drop as area grows; minimums cover small jobs.

One turnkey figure buys the lot — delivery, hanging, tape and bead, spotted screws, three coats up, sanding to level, cleanup every day. Already have board in the garage? A labour-only rate begins around $1.50/sq ft — roughly $30–70 per 4×8 hung and finished. These are honest ranges, not promises; the free written quote settles your exact drywall install cost first.

— Level 3, 4 and 5, translated

Three finishes, three budgets.

what each level buys your Mississauga room
Level 3 · standard
Working-room finish
Joints and fasteners coated, a hint of texture left. Fine under sprayed texture, wallpaper or heavy paint — and exactly right for the garage you're not showing off.
Level 4 · most chosen
The house standard
An extra coat and a careful sand beyond Level 3 give flat and eggshell paint an even bed. If we're finishing your bedrooms and family room, this is the spec.
Level 5 · signature
Skimmed edge to edge
Compound over every inch, not only the seams. Big south windows, pot-light rows, glossier paint — nothing telegraphs. The pick for great rooms and feature walls.
05
— what hiring us feels like

No surprises, no mess left.

the quote is the promise

Everything in writing

Your square footage, your level, one figure — and since Mississauga is home, no travel charge hides inside it.

Dust kept to the work zone

Sanding runs through vacuum heads behind poly containment, so the upstairs never wears the basement's dust.

Dates that hold

Hang, tape, coat and sand mapped out before we start — coordinated with your painter, and with the elevator if you're in a City Centre tower.

Covered and paint-ready

Liability insurance in force before day one, and a flat, primer-ready surface at handoff.

06
— five stages, in order

Mud, dry, repeat, sand.

how every Mississauga install unfolds
HangScrewTapeMudSand

There's a fixed order to good drywall and no shortcut through it — mud has to dry between coats, which is what sets the calendar. Ceilings get boarded ahead of the walls, so wall sheets tuck under the ceiling board and hold its edges. In houses we run sheets horizontally, leaving fewer and shorter joints to finish; vertical hanging mostly belongs on tall commercial walls. Do each pass properly and the final sand becomes the easy part.

07
— questions from Mississauga homeowners

Straight answers.

what callers ask us

You're actually based in Mississauga?

We are — crew, tools and vans. No dispatcher three cities away and no subcontracted stranger at the door: whoever measures your walls is the one hanging and finishing the board.

How quickly can a job start?

Usually the measure books within days, with board going up soon after. Home-field scheduling means no travel fee and no waiting for a crew to fight its way across the GTA.

What does finishing a basement cost here?

It's our most common local project. Rates run about $2.00–2.75 per sq ft at Level 3, $2.75–4.00 at Level 4 and $4.00–5.50 for a Level 5 skim, and complete basements usually land around $6,000–12,000+ depending on size, ceiling height and level. The written quote is free and exact.

Is an '80s Erin Mills house different to board than a new build?

A little. Newer Churchill Meadows or Lisgar framing is square and quick. Homes from the '70s to the '90s bring settled studs, popcorn-ceiling re-boards and the odd wavy wall, so we allow more fitting and feathering time — both end at the same smooth finish.

Can you handle a condo at Square One?

Yes — City Centre buildings are regulars for us. We book the freight elevator, send the certificate of insurance to management and work within the building's rules; allow a few days for sign-off.

Ceilings or walls — which is boarded first?

Ceilings. The wall sheets then press up underneath and help carry the ceiling's edges — tighter joints, fewer cracks later.

Roughly how many screws go into a sheet?

Plan on 28–32 for a 4×8 wall sheet, more on ceilings — each staggered and set a hair below the surface so the board sits flat without torn paper.

Which Mississauga neighbourhoods do you serve?

All of them, Port Credit to Malton — Lakeview, Clarkson, Lorne Park and Mineola; Streetsville, Meadowvale and Lisgar; Erin Mills, Churchill Meadows, Cooksville and City Centre. If a "drywall installers near me" search brought you here from anywhere in the city, we'll confirm and come measure.
